Who your donation will help

Your support is vital to making a difference in the lives of blind and partially sighted New Zealanders like Holly Irvine.

The RNZFB has been helping Holly prepare to leave home and begin student life.

Holly was just 10 years old when she was diagnosed with the brain tumour that took her sight. Left with only limited vision, Holly has focused her energy on music and helping others. Her positive attitude is inspiring, but she has needed the support of the RNZFB on her journey. And we will remain by her side as she makes her way through life.

Making a one-off donation to blind and partially sighted New Zealanders like Holly will help in a significant way:

  • $30 could help cover the cost of adaptive living training for a blind person to safely prepare a meal.
  • $60 could help train a blind person to use an LED magnifying glass.
  • $120 could help cover the costs for a blind person to attend RNZFB training in the use of adaptive technology.
