Organise a local street collection
- Plan: Organise a place to ‘shake a bucket’ for example, outside a shopping centre or your local supermarket. We can provide official letters on a letterhead if required.
- Recruit bucket shakers: Organise a team of volunteers to help collect. We can help by providing a list of previous collectors in the area.
- Promote your collection: Put up posters and let your local paper know about your collection. We’ll provide a template for a media release and will send out all the resources that you’ll need, including a full DIY street appeal guide and buckets, Red Puppy Appeal bibs, and banking bags etc.
- The final step is to bank the money you collect and return your materials to the RNZFB.
Organise your own fundraising event
- Choose what kind of event you would like to hold. We will provide suggestions, such as a raffle, sausage sizzle, or pub quiz.
- Let us know the details for your event including the key contact, what the event is and when you are holding it.
- Promote your event: Put up poster and let your local paper know about your event. We can provide generic resources including a media release templates, posters, Red Puppy Appeal bibs and banking bags.
