The Pico pocket video magnifier is lightweight and compact with 5X to 7X magnification, negative and colour image modes, glare reduction, built-in rechargeable battery, wrist strap, carrying case and car adaptor.
This portable reading device is priced at approximately $1,450.00 (incl. GST), subject to exchange rate changes.
Update on equipment pilots
The Palmerston North static equipment display is open to members and the public from 9.00am to 12.00 noon, Monday to Friday at the Palmerston North Locality Office.
Basic items such as sock tuckers, vision impaired badges, loc dots, self-threading needles, envelope guides, signature guides, bold lined writing paper, braille paper, bump ons, cane tips and artline pens may be purchased from the Christchurch and Palmerston North Locality Offices.
This service is being trialled for six months and will end in July 2004.
