Equipment catalogue and new items
Equipment catalogues are available to members. Please contact Equipment Services for a copy of the equipment catalogue. Ph: 0800 243 333, Option 4. The Equipment Services department is evaluating new low-vision talking watches and Parrot electronic organisers. These watches, in gold and chrome and the Parrot electronic organisers are being trialled and tested for reliability. We are also currently looking globally to source good quality, reliable bathroom scales.
Unique CD available now!
A CD featuring work by blind and sight-impaired musicians is now available from Equipment Services. "Journeys - A Festival of Blind Musicians" was recorded live during a concert held at Awhina House in December 2000. "Journeys" features eleven musicians including Stephen Bennett, Caitlin Smith, Mark Laurent and Jann Rutherford. The CD includes music that is mostly easy listening with a strong jazz influence and costs $19.95 including GST.
