Get Mobile!
The world of mobile phone technology continues to move at lightening speed, but thanks to our partnership with the Vodafone New Zealand Foundation we're helping you keep up. We now have an increased range of phones available at competitive prices. With the addition of new Nokia phones, there are 8 models for you to choose from. Phones start from $560.00 (including GST, TALKS standard software and courier).
At the time of printing the following phones were available: Nokia 6630; Nokia 6680 (very limited stock); Nokia 5500; Nokia N70; Nokia N73; Nokia N80; Nokia N91; Nokia E50. Please note that the phones do not come with a Vodafone SIM card. If you do not already have a Vodafone SIM card, you will need to purchase one from a Vodafone retailer and choose the calling plan you wish to be on. More information about calling plans can be found on the Vodafone website, SIM cards start from $30.00.
The Foundation offers all mobile phone and TALKS User Guides in an accessible format of choice. The Foundation is also trialling a group mobile phone training initiative in its Adaptive Technology classrooms. To date approximately 50 members have purchased phones through the Foundation since they launched in November 2006.
