Newmarket Railway Station Changes

From Saturday 24 June access to the Newmarket railway station from Broadway will be closed to allow for the redevelopment of the station. Access to the station after 24 June will only be from the existing Remuera Road ramp.

The decision to close the overbridge has changed three times in three months. The final decision to close access to the Broadway overbridge was only made known to the Foundation on Friday 16 June.

The Broadway access will not be re-opened for approximately two years.  For one week following the closure of the Broadway entrance there will be assistants to help you access the station from the Remuera Road ramp if necessary.

For further information regarding the train station changes please contact Chris Orr, RNZFB Community Education and Awareness Manager on 09 355 6883 or 0800 24 33 33.
