Changes set for West Auckland Rail Stations

Following are changes that will happen at the Fruitvale and Sunnyvale rail stations after Easter.

At Fruitvale Station from Tuesday April 10, all passengers will use the second new platform, bordering Mason Park and opposite the one they are now using, for all services - ie to Britomart and to Henderson.  Access to this platform will be from Fruitvale Rd.

At Sunnyvale Station from 23 April commuters will be asked to use the second new platform which has been rebuilt where the original platform was for services in both directions.  Access to this platform will be from Manui Place.

MAXX ambassadors will be present for the first three days after the changes to help guide commuters.

These changes will remain in place until the new track in this section of the corridor is commissioned, likely to be at the beginning of June, during Queen’s Birthday weekend.  After this commuters will use both platforms.

Foundation members should ring Chris Orr, Community Education and Awareness Manager, for additional information on 0800 24 33 33 or in Auckland on 09 355 6883.
