The Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind is NZ’s primary service provider for blind, deafblind and vision-impaired people offering a range of services to more than 11,700 members. The Foundation is a membership-based organisation.  "Members First" is the philosophy which drives the Foundation ensuring that blind and vision impaired people have the same opportunities and choices to fully participate in society as all other citizens. Six major divisions provide services, undertake fundraising and manage financial and other resources. The RNZFB also includes 43 regional Community Committees providing volunteer support and works closely with nine consumer organisations representing members' interests.

Leading and managing a national team of over three hundred employees, the Chief Executive Officer is tasked with ensuring that the strategic objectives of the Foundation are advanced and high quality services to meet the current and future needs of all members are delivered. You and your team will be instrumental in ensuring the Foundation's goals are delivered on and you will drive a culture of service excellence, demonstrating leadership from the front while delivering professional management of people, processes and resources.

Tertiary qualified, you will be a seasoned leader with significant experience in management at the executive level. A background in leading large scale organisations in the service delivery sector along with an understanding of government funding mechanisms will be advantageous. The ability to learn, understand and identify with the particular needs of the membership is critical.
