RNZFB 2020: Update 2, June 2008
It’s been a very exciting time for RNZFB 2020 – Sustaining our Future. Creative working groups met in Christchurch, Wellington, South Auckland and Auckland to come up with stories about the Foundation in the year 2020. A huge thank you to all the people who participated in the groups. They worked incredibly hard and considered a wide variety of issues as they developed their stories. You can now read the stories on line or listen to them on TIS. You are welcome to comment on the stories.
The stories provide the platform for the next RNZFB 2020 workshop – Conversations of Possibilities. This is being held on 14 June at Bayleys, Viaduct Harbour, Auckland. Invitation letters have been sent out following a nominations process. Once acceptances have been received we will let you know who will be attending. Feel welcome to discuss the workshop and the stories with them. Once again, there will be a mixture of staff, members, Board, consumer organisations, community committees and other stakeholders.
The purpose of the workshop is to consider ideas for the future of the Foundation. During the workshop we will explore the stories. What people like, what they don’t, what they would change and other ideas we need to consider going forward. As with the last workshop, we will hold a series of break-out groups which give people a chance to voice their views in a smaller arena. We will also hold another panel discussion and invite questions from the floor.
Following this, RNZFB 2020 moves into an analytical phase. The analytical phase will consider the ideas and stories from a variety of perspectives including whether they are viable and would put the Foundation on the path to sustainability. That after all, is the key to RNZFB 2020.
