Dear Readers,

Welcome to our second edition of Outlook for 2011; an issue dedicated to change makers.

There are a lot of inspirational people who are passionate about making positive changes for the blind, deafblind and partially sighted community. So, in this edition we have set out to honour their commitment and congratulate them for making a real difference.

We hope you enjoy these stories. If you would like to share your thoughts, write a letter to the editor and send it to comms@rnzfb.org.nz

The Communications Team

To the Communications Team,

I would like to have a section in Outlook that deals with travel for blind and partially sighted people.

I envisage stories from members who have had good (or bad) experiences with travel and travel destinations Perhaps some travel ideas from travel agencies who have catered for our different needs Looking at international and New Zealand travel What destinations are guide dog friendly

For example – I would like to have a holiday in Samoa – are there any pitfalls that I should consider?

Sincerely,
Jan Nesbit

Editors: Thanks for your letter Jan and what a great idea! We would love to run an article on this in the future and in order to do so; we invite members to share their own travel stories. Please send these to comms@rnzfb.org.nz
