Blind Jacks aim to compete on the world lawn

29 June 2012

The Blind Jacks, New Zealand's blind lawn bowling team, are hoping to attend the World Blind Lawn Bowling Champs in England next year.

Their mantra 'Never let what you can't do stop you from doing what you can' keeps them motivated to achieve their dream and compete against international players.

To help them reach this goal, the team is holding a unique fundraising event which will involve a match between the Blind Jacks and a Radio Sport invitation side. This invitation team will include sporting stars such as former All Black Eric Rush and olympic swimmer Glenn Snyders.

In case you're interested, the event will be broadcasted on Radio Sport from noon until 2pm on Friday 6 July.
