Meal Time

How do vision-impaired children find the food on their plate?

To find the food on their plate, vision-impaired children imagine the plate as a clock. They are told what time the food is placed.

On this plate the hamburger is at 12 o'clock, the salad is at 4 o'clock, and the chips are at 8 o'clock.

What time is the food placed at on this plate?

Using pictures from magazines, why not create your own clock plate by cutting them out and gluing them to a cardboard plate. Then blindfold one of your friends, tell them at "what time" the food has been pasted on the plate and see if they can guess correctly where the meal is.
