Iris' World

A Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind Education Kit

Iris' World is the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind's educational kit for schools. It includes information on how the eye works, facts about people who are blind, deafblind and vision-impaired, and what to do when you meet a vision-impaired person. There are a range of student activity sheets included which will help to foster an understanding of the abilities of blind, deafblind and vision-impaired people, the barriers they often face and how sighted people can assist them.

You can also download a copy (PDF, 923 KB) of Iris' World for your reference.
