Red Puppy Appeal 2008
Thank you for giving power to the puppies!
Thank you to everyone who donated during Red Puppy Appeal on 4-6 April. We've already tallied over $1 million and we're still counting! A woofin' big thanks from guide dog puppy Stella and her friends.
The Red Puppy Appeal is all about giving power to our guide dog puppies, so, as guide dogs, they can empower blind, deafblind and vision-impaired New Zealanders. You might have seen our puppies around - they're the ones in the red coats that guide dog puppies in training wear.
Visit the Red Puppy Appeal website to to make a donation or to find out about other ways you can help. Each of our red puppies cost over $22,500 to breed, raise, train and match and need as much help as possible.
The difference a guide dog makes in a blind, deafblind or vision-impaired person's life is immeasurable, opening up a whole new world. Find out more about guide dogs and the RNZFB's Guide Dog Services.
Red Puppy Appeal TV advert

their paw in their pocket". To watch it online, please select
your internet speed –
The advert features Stella and one of her red puppy friends in
their red coats against a white background doing what puppies do -
running, wagging their tails, shaking their coats and having a cool
time. A red circle graphic featuring Red Puppy Appeal and
www.redpuppy.org.nz is in the
right hand corner. When the narrator asks people to put "your paw
in your pocket" for the appeal, the text and 0900 donation lines are
also featured in the top left hand corner.
