Executive Director - Stakeholder Relationships

Specific responsibilities


Consumer Relations

With Consumer Groups focusing on collaboration, partnership, consultation, information sharing and joint advocacy.

Government Relations

With Ministers, Shadow Ministers, Press Secretaries, Government officials. Focusing on strategic influence and advocacy on policy, legislation decisions, changes and submissions.

Other Providers

Relationships with health & disability and private providers,  medical & eye care professionals focusing on influencing,  partnering, advocacy re: policy change and  joint submissions and building strategic alliances and collaborative relationships to benefit our clients.

Public Relations (working closely with all areas especially SIP & M&F)

Protect and grow the Foundation's reputation, profile and increase awareness through a variety of methods including - media relations, corporate, internal &
member communications, branding research (with Marketing and Fundraising), brand and style standards, website design / implementation and appeals campaigns

Awareness

Increase public awareness of the Foundation and its services through Community Education and Training, Braille awareness, General awareness, Joint activities with prevention groups, Employer Awareness and input into submissions

International Relations

Promote RNZFB on the international stage and collaborate on international policy, advocacy and global initiatives through WBU, International Blindness  Agencies, International Boards

External Intelligence

Receive regular updates from external sources on parliamentary intelligence, policy analysis, access and feedback strategies
