Books change lives
1 March 2011
This March is New Zealand Book Month – an annual campaign designed to encourage Kiwis to celebrate books and reading.
The Foundation’s library is promoting this with tactile and word wall hangings made by both members and staff.
The theme is ‘Books that have influenced or changed your life’. Find out how you can contribute to the wall hangings.
Good ONYA RNZFB! Our website wins for accessibility
21 February 2011
The RNZFB has won the prestigious ONYAs 'Accessibility Award' for our brand new accessible website!
The winners were announced at the Grand Awards Dinner held on 19 February in Wellington.
Accessibility was top of mind as we wanted to make sure that graphical design experience equaled the usability experience for our members. But we couldn't have done it without the incredible support and hard work of external agencies DNA, PixelFusion and Pitch. These companies worked on the design and web development for the site, with amazing results.
In its second year, The ONYAs are widely recognised in New Zealand for honouring the best of the best in the web industry. A panel of international and local user experience designers and web architects judged the awards.
