About us
We empower our members who are blind or have low vision by giving them the training, tools, and tips they need to deal with blindness and achieve their goals. Find out more about us.
Our organisation
The Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind (RNZFB) is a non-profit organisation and the main provider of vision-related services to the blind and those with low vision. We’re governed by our own members and offer a wide range of services. We have a rich heritage and big plans for the future.
Member services
While our puppies and guide dogs are the most well known, we offer a much wider range of services to our members. These services assist members with everyday life, moving around and accessing information.
Business services
We also offer business services around producing resources in accessible format, consulting on website accessibility, how to make a physical environment more accessible and employer and staff training.
News and information
There's so much going on, we’ve always got things to say! Keep up to date with what’s happening through our latest news, media releases, campaign updates, project updates and statistics.
Success stories
We are continually inspired by stories from our members and volunteers. Read their stories and learn more about some of our heroes.
Careers
Did you know we have almost 300 employees and around 2000 volunteers across New Zealand? Be employed by RNZFB, or become a volunteer. If you feel passionate about the work we do, there may be an opportunity to be inspired for life…
