Give a Mother's Day gift that makes a difference

This year, Mother's Day is Sunday 11th May. If you're struggling to find a special gift for Mum, don't buy the same old gift vouchers or flowers; give a furry gift that makes a real difference.   Gifting a Puppy Sponsorship means you'll be helping puppies get the training and care they need to become a trusted companion and guide dog for a blind, deafblind or vision-impaired New Zealander.

WWII veterans rehabilitated through goalball

Goalball is a unique team sport developed in 1946 to help rehabilitate blinded WWII veterans. The original aim of goalball was to just roll the ball over the opponent's goal line but, as the game evolved, the skill level and tactics of the game increased. Now it’s a hard and fast sport requiring lightning reflexes and protective gear. Some players have been clocked throwing the goalball at 65 kms per hour!

How to Support the Foundation

We rely on the public's ongoing generosity to continue to make a big difference in the lives of blind, deafblind and vision-impaired New Zealanders. There are many ways you can help - collect for an appeal, make a donation, sponsor a guide dog puppy or a talking book - it all helps. Whatever you decide, please know that your efforts will make a lasting difference to blind, deafblind and vision-impaired New Zealanders.
